Summer 2012 School of Art

Greetings from the Director of Education:
Constant evolution. Here at the Studios we are busy working
and changing the organization for the better. This evolution
affects the School of Art as well. We're pleased to offer quite a
few fresh, new ways to connect with art as well as opportunities to
challenge yourself creatively. New to the schedule are life drawing
and beginning fiction writing workshops. We are also pleased to
welcome back visiting artists Michael Chelsey Johnson and Jeannie
McGuire who are back by popular demand. Their workshops are
extremely popular so be sure to sign up early!
The main gallery has also seen some changes over the past year. 'illuminate', our first themed show drew large crowds and many favorable reviews. Opening on Friday June 1st will be 'Indulge', a show dedicated to taking a closer look at one of our basic needs through the eyes of contemporary (perhaps starving) artists. In conjunction with the show I have created a summer camp for ages 7-12 that parallels the vision for 'Indulge' show.
See you around the Studios!
