Water Street Studios offers a community-based arts education program geared towards children, teens, adults and senior citizens - from beginners to experts. It is our philosophy that everyone from preschoolers to seniors can use art in their lives.

Letter from the Director of Education,

Water Street celebrates one year in our permanent home this September and anniversaries provide the time for reflection, celebration, and future envisioning. I am astounded by what a group of talented artists and community friends have accomplished over the past twelve months and look forward to all that lies ahead. A special thank you to the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley. Their generous grant allowed us to purchase electric pottery wheels, ceramic tools, welding equipment, and a projector. New classes on the potter's wheel and welding are a welcome addition to our class line-up.

We are lucky to have Jeannie McGuire joining Water Street this November for a three-day figurative watercolor workshop. McGuire is the featured artist in the August 2010 edition of Watercolor Artist Magazine and is flying in from Pittsburgh to join the School of Art. Her fresh approach to character development and persona is sure to inspire many!

Don't forget about Awesome Art Afternoons from 1-3p every Sunday. These afternoons are a great way to bond with your family over art and the best part - it's FREE! We have a lot to offer this trimester and I hope to see you around the studios!
